How Sad

I was driving "downtown" the other day and happened to notice there was something different about the city pots this year. A closer look has led me to wonder what the heck is happening. I have come up with three possibilities:
#1 - This is a "preview" of what great things we can expect in the pots this year.
#2 - They have just totally given up. Instead of the beautiful billowing pots we are used to seeing on Main street (ha), this will have to do.
#3 - (Most likely scenario) Patty, Judy and Jane did this one night to let the city know what would be acceptable in the pots this year. The reason I think this is what happened: These three have been known to volunteer their own personal time and flowers to people, businesses, even the weird lady down the street just so that they do not have to look at people's ugly stuff. Fess up ladies.

Pretty funny. Maybe she did it to give you something to blog about. I bet that is all the effort the city is putting forth this year. Maybe it's some green thing, like trying to save water.

Never even noticed them. I only really get as far as 1st north cause that's how I get to Gas N Go. They should put flowers in front of Gas N Go.

I, for one, am proud to live in a town where we don't succumb to the widely used and wasteful practice of watering flowers just for our own selfish enjoyment. Recuce, reuse, recycle. As an interesting side note, these signs will have to be used until the year 2018 before the water saved covers the cost of the trees that were cut down to make them.
